Here's a glimpse of some of the best attractions in North Wales. With so much choice we are sure you will find the perfect venues for great days out... 

Water Sports - Fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing and white water rafting are well catered for. The centres at Bala and Llangollen offer some of the best canoeing and white water rafting in the country.

Pony Trekking - A wonderful way to see the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Electric Mountain, Llanberis- Guided tours around Dinorwig Power Station deep inside the mountain. You'll discover the amazing powers of pumped storage hydro-electricity, why not try generating your own electricity!

Llangollen Wharf - A traditional narrow boat and horse drawn boat centre. Glide silently past shoals of fish in a horse drawn boat, and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the lower Dee Valley. Or take a trip on the aptly named Thomas Telford across Telford's magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

Welsh Mountain Zoo - For a great day out a friendly, caring conservation zoo set in lovely garden surroundings high above Colwyn Bay. Also within a hours drive is the world famous Chester Zoo.

Welsh Castles - So many to choose from right around the North Wales coast. From Caernarfon, probably the most famous, to Denbigh the nearest and inland castle.

Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Blaenau Ffestiniog - Offer free surface attractions and two underground rides and that are very popular with families. The deep mine tour begins with a ride on Britain's steepest passenger railway.

Ffestiniog Railway - The world famous Ffestiniog railway runs from the sea at Porthmadog into the mountains. There are many other narrow gauge railways in easy reach of Hendwr including the Snowdon and Bala lake lines. You may prefer the Llangollen steam railway which runs on standard guage along the Dee Valley.

King Arthur's Labyrinth, Corris - Carved into the accent rocks  a labyrinth of tunnels and caverns hides. Tales of the deeds of King Arthur, and other legends, are re-told as you walk through the spectacular underground settings.

Portmeirion Village - This unique village and its woodland gardens are set on a private peninsula on the southern shores of Snowdonia.
