Terms and Conditions

Please take a moment to read these terms and conditions, and let us know immediately if you have any queries. We suggest you print a copy for your own records.

  1. Lodges are available from 3pm Saturday to 9.30am the following Saturday or multiples thereof, unless a special agreement is made at the time of booking.
  2. All beds have blankets and pillows but no sheets, pillowcases or towels are provided. Each Lodge has either 1 double bedroom, 1 single and 1 twin OR 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms. Linen may be hired: please ask for details when booking.
  3. A non-returnable booking deposit is required of £70 per week booked for holidays up to £299.99.
    A non-returnable booking deposit is required of £90 per week booked for holidays of £300 or more.
  4. All charges and deposits must be paid prior to the occupation of a Lodge. Cheques should be made payable to J & D Hughes. Please note we do not accept credit or debit cards.
  5. To ensure that the standard of our Lodges is maintained, we require a cash deposit of £30 on arrival. This is refundable provided there are no breakages, and the Lodge including the cooker and bedding is left in a clean, wholesome condition.
  6. All damage or breakages must be reported to us immediately. Please check all equipment on arrival, as it must be accounted for on departure. Please note that any damage caused deliberately or carelessly will be charged at full cost, without limit.
  7. Please note we reserve the right to enter the Lodges at any reasonable time. Save for matters that cannot be excluded by law, you occupy the Lodges and use the grounds and facilities entirely at your own risk. Please keep any children under appropriate supervision at all times.

 Cancellation

  1. Should you wish to cancel a booking, please let us know in writing by recorded delivery as soon as possible. Provided the cancellation is received at least 42 days before the starting date of the holiday, only the deposit will be forfeited.
  2. If notice is received within 42 days of the starting date of the holiday you will be liable to pay the total charge for the lodge, unless the accommodation is re-let in which case again only the deposit will be forfeited. We advise you to insure against the cancellation of your booking due to sickness: cover can be obtained from most insurance companies at nominal rates.
